Summary for 2019
Five new libraries were furnished with cooperation from their student librarians.
Chandrodaya School withdrew books from their classroom libraries and we established a combined secondary and primary library. We made two new libraries for the new English-medium campus of Siddhartha School. We were able to bring some books from the Nepali-medium campus as the year’s consignment had not yet arrived from Kathmandu. Ganesh Prasad Humagain, Co-ordinator of the English-medium campus of Siddhartha School has been an unfailing support. Laxmi Hetauda and Dibya Jyoti Schools now have well-furnished and organised libraries waiting for their books.
Teacher-Librarian Training Video
Mr Chris Pereira flew from Malaysia to film preliminary videos for Book Reach’s planned training programme. He focussed on successful methodologies and the personal experiences of several teachers, as well as the actual classes being taught. The completed video will be ready for sharing in participating schools in February 2020.
